Tomorrow I am putting the finishing touches to a pretty pink 16 inch Urchin who will be wearing leather shoes, can't wait to get her finished.

- My name is Jacqui Ellerton and I trade as Jac-Q-Lyn Bears. I have been designing and making bears for over 15 years. My bear craze has turned in the last 13 years from an addictive hobby into a fulltime passion. I am probably best known for my wacky style of bears which have my usual tell tale signs eyelids, enamelled eyes, sculpted faces and paw pads, embellished with airbrushing and not forgetting droopy ears. Bear making has enabled me to travel to Japan demonstrating bear making within a large department store. In 2009 I was fortunate to win an URSA AWARD for one of my Toy-Box Treasures Jessie and in 2010 I won another URSA award for my Urchins Jellie & Bean. In 2011 I won an URSA award for Prestbury a Toy-Box Treasure, and this year I am very proud to say that in 2012 I have won another 3 URSA awards with Tobias Crumb a Toy-Box Treasure, Podge a wacky bear and Old Friends a pair of Toy-Box Treasures. I have been featured in numerous teddy bear publications throughout my bear making career and also commissioned to make a bear for a TV advert for a very large American company. I've been thinking I should do a kilted bear too, but that's a LOT of pleats, and I've not mastered them on my sewing resume yet, so we may be some time lol
