I am delighted to say that I have been notified that Jellie and Bean, my pair of cheeky Urchins, have made it through to the finals of the URSA competition 2010.  The second round of voting has began and this will decide whether Jellie & Bean will be 1st, 2nd or 3rd in the pairs category and an overall winner.

The URSA competition is a public vote, so you can help decide Jellie & Beans final position.  If you have  spare moment and would like to help Jellie & Bean with their placing in the competition please click on  the following link "VOTE FOR JELLIE & BEAN" .

I think Jellie is giving Bean some hairstyle tips in these last two pictures, maybe a comb might help :-)

GROGS AND MORE GROGS

I am busy making new Grogs at the moment, and thought you might like to see two I completed on Friday.

Juniper is made from a lovely lilac, wavy kid mohair, his feet and inner ears are made from my own handmade wool felt and hand dyed to give a batik effect in shades of purple, lavender, lilac and blue.  Juniper Grog is 10 inches tall with a really large bulbous nose embroidered with a hand dyed cotton to match his foot pads.  Juniper is very lucky to be going to live in Texas.

A very happy looking Juniper!

A cheeky boy Juniper Grog!

Such a coy smile!

Little Squirt is also a 10 inch Grog, who is made from a pastel blue on a cream backing, very wild looking mohair.  His inner ears and paw pads are made from my own hand made wool felt which I have hand dyed to get a batik effect in shades of turquoise, pale blue, blue and a touch of lime green.  His big nose is embroidered with a hand dyed cotton to match his colourful feet.  There is no hiding these chubby bears big cheeky grins.  Little Squirt is joining Juniper in Texas.

Little Squirt is certainly not camera shy!

Little Squirt trying to look innocent.
